"Our world is changing and by having the work of deconstruction then reconstruction, I follow the evolution of our civilization."

Debroeck's distinctive artistic style is defined by her composition and organization of paper fragments sourced from her own photographs and magazines. Her approach to her craft extends beyond traditional painting, as she seamlessly incorporates elements of sculpture and architecture into her work. Through the superimposition of curves and the delicate balance between visibility and concealment, she skillfully creates captivating visual effects.

  • The interplay of inlaid colors between cuts, along with the accumulation and overlapping of papers, adds depth and richness to her pieces. Her vibrant chromatic palette, driven by a deep well of inspiration, breathes life into her art. With passion, Debroeck assembles elements drawn from her own struggles and strengths, constructing a universe that is uniquely hers. Since 1982, Debroeck's works have been exhibited in galleries across France and internationally. Her talent and vision have garnered recognition from prestigious institutions, with her pieces finding a home in esteemed venues such as the Museum of Contemporary Art in Hong Kong, the Dalian Modern Museum, and the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts. Debroeck divides her time between her workshop in Paris and in Burgundy.
  • "Life is the engine of art. Creation allows us to understand and feel more precisely the

context of current society and its evolution. And creation allows us to highlight its evolution."

"Creation in general has always fascinated me. I have always been passionate about collages. The complexity of the production is like a challenge that seems unachievable each time. This increases the pleasure of creation tenfold because you have to surpass yourself to achieve the goal you set for yourself."
